Mature Adult Activities Program (MAAP)

MAAP is a pilot project that offers activities and seminars for active adults who are 55 and older. MAAP began in July 2013 and offers five-week sessions throughout the year. The focus of MAAP is to enable mature adults to continue being an integral part of their community. The program seeks to enrich its participants’ lives with activities, programs and educational tours and trips that engages the mind, body, and spirit. CAANH plans to offer MAAP sessions in the summer, fall, and spring.  MAAP is supported through participant fees, private donations, volunteers, and resources from state and federal governments.

HERE'S SOME OF OUR ACTIVITIES

Community Action Agency MAAP program visited

Job Corps.  Their staff, headed by Chef Ali Heery along with her students,

introduced our 'mature adults' to healthy and tasty

recipes.  Everyone participated in making the

recipes and most happily, eating them too!!  Our favorite was Cannolli

ice cream cone made with ricotta!!!  YUM!!  Pictured is

Jobs Corps staff and CAA MAAP participants.

CAANH's Controller, Adrienne Sanders

conducted Arts & Crafts with the Seniors

making beautiful decopage serving platters.

Everyone enjoyed a day at the Yale museum!
