Manage Your Future

Youth Today, Leaders of Tomorrow

We must do all that we can, to give our children the best in education and social upbringing -  for while they are the youth of today, they shall be the leaders of tomorrow.”
John F. Kennedy (1917-63)

Since 2007, Manage Your Future (MYF) has provided New Haven’s youth with skills, experience, and support that will empower them to become the leaders of tomorrow. MYF is a year-round program that is intended to help youth ages 14-16 meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood through financial education, job training (interactive job readiness training and on-site employment through local business partnerships), entrepreneurial thinking, and character development with the strategic goal of helping youth think more critically about their future. MYF youth are offered academic support, field trips and community service opportunities. Additionally, MYF program participants experience relevant paid internships with a local business.
